New York City round-hundred numbers

A round-hundred number ends in two digits and 00, like XXX-2100. It is the classic main line of a New York office: easy to say ("twenty-one hundred"), easy to print, and it leaves the numbers around it free for extensions.

Law firms, agencies and medical practices across the city have used round numbers for their main line for decades, so the format reads as established.
